A graduate of the prestigious Duke Ellington School of the Arts, Mychael Pollard is a world-class multi-instrumentalist, Music Director, Pianist, Keyboardist, and Producer whose 30+ year career bridges R&B, Jazz Fusion, Progressive Rock, and Funk with mainstream commercial success.
Currently the keyboardist for the Grammy-nominated group The Jets and collaborator with Grammy-nominated producer Chris Cox (Thunderpuss), Pollard’s performance and production credits include playing on the RCA Records release of Whitney Houston’s “Don’t Cry For Me” (Thunderpuss Reunion Remix).
Blending the exploratory depth of Weather Report, Mahavishnu Orchestra, and Return to Forever with the progressive innovation of Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Yes, and Genesis—infused with the groove sensibility of Parliament-Funkadelic—Pollard creates music that is technically masterful, spiritually resonant, and commercially adaptable.
His rare combination of elite musicianship, touring experience across the U.S. and Europe, and extensive work in jingles, commercials, film, and documentary scoring positions him not only as an artist, but as a complete musical architect capable of delivering both visionary artistry and industry-ready production.
